Many of the young Yukon kayakers had heard of the Homan River; a wild kayak trip near Whitehorse; grade IV to V. Finally, those who had done the river 15 years ago and those who had never paddled the river got together and the trip was organized.

Logistics are not easy. The Homan is a fly in trip located 70 kms South of Whitehorse. But then, you have to paddle 40 kms of Lake Bennett to Carcross.

3 of us took a motorized cataraft to Bennett Lake for the journey. The Homan is spectacular and remote, one of the best Yukon whitewater trip.
